As seen on TV, oops I mean other blogs. *g*
1. How many people have you dated that were not naturalised citizens of your country?
None
2. Have you ever dated someone that was not of your race? How did that work out?
No. Not that I'd be against it.
3. How many different countries have you visited?
Australia, USA, Canada, and Mexico (2 hours in Tijuana *g*) and of course other parts of my own country.
4. If you could go to a specific country of your choice … no expenses spared … where would go visit, and why?
How am I supposed to choose one country? Maybe USA to visit all my Trixie friends. :) I'd rather choose a continent, then I can say Europe and have many countries to choose from. I'd also quite like to visit South Africa.
5. What is your favourite international flavour?
Indian. I do like a range of foods. Just so long as it doesn't have seafood or seaweed I'm happy.
6. I love French and Indian movies. What other countries’ movies do you enjoy?
That's hard to pick because I haven't watched many. I've seen one Spanish - Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. That was pretty funny. Had Antonio Banderas in it. One French - Eight Women. That was unusual, but I really enjoyed it. My all time favourite movie would be Das Boot, which is German. Like Susan, I prefer subtitles to dubbing.
7. How many other languages do you speak besides your native language?
I know a little French, a little Spanish and a teeny amount of German. I read better than speaking.
8. Do you have international friends, and what countries do they come from?
I do indeed! They're from Australia, Canada, Germany, USA (waving back at Susan). I used to have a French penpal, and an English e-pal. I have a friend from Costa Rica, and one of my workmates is English. I've worked with quite a few different nationalities: Middle Eastern, Irish, English, Scottish, Australian, Nigerian, Fijian, French, Malaysian, Chinese, and I think one of our new doctors is Dutch.

In other things, not much. Made coconut ice last night. Yum! I hadn't made it in ages. I had to multi-task while making it. I'd been IM'ing with Kimberly and we'd been talking about coconut ice and peanut slabs. I had to text my sister for the recipe and she decided to ring instead. So, I ended up carrying on an IM conversation, chatted to my sister and made coconut ice. I was quite impressed actually. The only thing that went wrong was that I got a little bit carried away with the food colouring, so instead of being pale pink it ended up crimson. Doesn't alter the taste though!
Watched
Bodies which I taped last night. It's a British medical drama which has some very realistic scenes. It's one of the most realistic medical programmes I've ever seen. It's set on an obstetric/gynaecology ward. When they show a birth scene, the
really show a birth scene.
It ain't Half Hot Mum is out on DVD on Friday. I love that show. Windsor Davies always cracks me up. I know I don't need more stuff, but it can be my birthday present to myself. I'm sure there's something else I'm wanting to get, but it doesn't spring to mind. I have a voucher to get 15% off DVDs, so I'll just have to have a wee browse.
Have decided to get rid of any clothes that don't fit me. Just because I like them is no reason to hold on to them. If I ever lose the weight to fit them again, I can go and buy new ones. There's not point having them sitting around in storage when someone else could make use out of them. Plus, it's a perfect excuse for going shopping. Not that I ever need an excuse. *g* I've been very good this week. I've had to be strict with myself because I paid for my laptop out of my pay rather than dipping into my savings. It's been a bit tight, but I am pleased with myself. Made a donation to the SA for the Indonesian earthquake appeal. I'm trying not to use my credit card, but this is a special case.
I'm trying to dredge up the energy to go to the supermarket. I need something for tea. But I'll have to change my clothes, and it's too cold for that. It's probably warmer outside, but it wouldn't be a good idea to get changed on the front lawn. I don't think the neighbours would be impressed. LOL!
