I want some cold weather!

It is so hot. I know that I shouldn't grumble but I'm sick of feeling hot and sticky. My clothes stick to me, my hair's a disaster and I just feel yuck! It wouldn't be so bad if there wasn't the humidity. I have to shower before getting into bed to have any hope of getting to sleep.

Stupid me got sunburned today. I really must remember that I'm not in Dunedin and should always apply sunscreen before leaving the house. It's not too bad, just a little tender at the back of my neck.

Work's going fine. Had a lovely weekend back on the ward that I started at. They were fairly quiet shifts - made a change from earlier in the week! I even managed to get away early.

Have applied for a couple of apartments, so my fingers are crossed that I'll get one of them. Both are in the same area, but one is nicer than the other, plus it's ground floor. The other one has the most hideous green carpet, but otherwise okay.

I really need to work on my Jixaversary story. I still have about a month, but I would like it already to go. At least my chapter of Mysterious Code is done (just needs another look over and then off to be edited), and Vivian and I have a project lined up. It's essentially finished, I'll just give it another lookover. So, I have been kind of productive.

I started a new story during the writing challenge. I really didn't mean to, but it was the one speaking to me. I had a few problems getting started, but once I made up my mind that it was going to be a stand alone story, it flowed. The timeline didn't fit well for my Whisper uni.

Ick! I think I'm going to have a shower.
