Blathering On

My work, play and writing

I'm so over winter!

Only one month through and I've had enough. Slipped on the steps on my way to work. I'm relatively unscathed, just a bit sore and bruised. I was too busy looking at the patch of ice at the bottom of the steps, that I didn't see that the bottom step was icy. So, down I went. I think I'm going to get a bruise on my behind. The main thing is that I don't think anyone saw me. Plus I didn't put a hole in my trousers. Luckily I had my cell phone in my other pocket or I would have smashed that. So, all in all there were a few positives.

Have been really enjoying the writing challenge. It's been good for me to schedule in time to write. It's so easy to go days without scribbling something down. I've always wanted to be more disciplined with my writing. I'm very nearly finished a story. All I really have to do is the editing part. So, essentially I've finished torturing poor Mart. I might have to resign from UMM after everything I've done to him in this story. *g*

I've been busy with another story as well, this time with a Di focus. It will be a one-off because it doesn't fit anywhere else. I think it might turn out to be bigger than I originally planned, but that's okay.

Been really quiet at work over the past few days. We haven't had many patients at all, which is really unusual. I'm in the HDU with only one patient, and I'm not exactly rushed off my feet. Maybe I'll be able to get some writing done.
